Which One's Better

Pros and Cons of Tea

Tea is great for multiple reasons; it helps you diet due to it's zero calorie attribute, it protects you from diseases, helps you process glucose, and most importantly, it tastes delicous! Some examples of illnesses it protects you from include diabetes, hyperglycemia, strokes, Cancer, many cognitive issues, and heart disease. Tea also has much less caffiene than coffee. There are 96 mg of caffiene in just one 8 oz cup of coffee, whereas the same amount of black tea only contains 47 mg of caffiene and green tea only 28 mg. Tea provides the hydration that water does, along with additional nutrients and minerals, such as Copper, Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Catechins, Zinc, Flavonoids, Fluoride, Polyphenols, and Phosforous. Some teas do certain things for your body. For example, Chammomile tea helps you wind down, relax, and sleep well. It's even been found to help women who are postpartum reduce their depression.

Tea is a wonderful beverage for many reasons, but, alas, everything has a downside to it — even tea. Tea, like coffee, contains caffiene in it. Too much intake of caffiene can cause insomnia, headaches, muscle tremors, anxiety, heartburn, a faster heartbeat, and nervousness. Caffiene also takes a toll on pregnant women, further describing the side effects of too much caffiene; it makes the risk of a miscarriage higher and can affect the baby by causing it to have a low birth weight.Too much intake of tea also affects your body's ability to absorb iron, and green tea, specifically, even though it's known as a calming beverage, affects your sleep quality if you drink too much of it. Here is an article that explains some of the side effects of tea:

Pros and Cons of Coffee

Coffee is a beverage that is full of flavour and the roasted coffee beans provide a wonderful aroma, that will sweep you off your feet! Coffee is also good for you healthwise; it is known for extending the length of your life, helping your body process glucose, protecting you from heart failure, Parkinson's Disease, and Ahlziemer's Disease, along with keeping you up, and alert. Coffee also helps with brain health, weight management, liver problems, and a lower risk of depression.

Aside from the wonderful attributes that are included in coffee, there are downsides from drinking too much. Coffee is mostly unhealthy due to it's caffiene content; it can raise your blood pressure, pregnant, and breastfeeding women especially. Mild increase in cholesterol, heartburn, insomnia, or nervousness are all signs of too much coffee intake. If you experience any of these, do yourself a favor, and kindly cut back on your coffee intake. Thank you! Below, there is a site embedded onto this page that will tell you more about the health benefits and risks caused by coffee.

My opinion

Last but not least, my opinion between tea and coffee. I, drum roll please...

Prefer tea over coffee. This is mostly because of the taste. Coffee has a bitterness to it and leaves a horrible after-taste in your mouth. You can add as much sugar, creamer, and/or milk, and it'll still be slightly bitter. If one person, just one person, could give me a non-bitter cup of coffee, I might change my mind, but for now, I'll stick with tea. Thank you for reading my presentation! I hope you enjoyed it and learned a lot!
